Our nation built on the foundation of personal freedom is being threatened by the very people elected to serve the people of the United States. Our nation founded on the concepts of liberty stands at the edge of a cliff where the slightest tremble could cause us to collapse and possibly plunge us into civil war.

Out of the ashes of 9-11 the freedoms we once cherished were given away in the name od security for our country. There were not many voices raised in opposition since we were attacked and were told this was for our benefit to protect us from the threat of terrorists. This need for protection sparked the war we are now ebgaged in Iraq. The argument presented was that we were going to fight them there so we would not have to fight them here. The American public was very supportive of the President in this endeavor. Now we find ourselves caught in the middle of sectarian conflicts that have existed for centuries as well as battling insurgents who want us out and terrorists from one group attacking the other group. It is doubtful that we will ever persuade these people to get past their differences and live in harmony under a free democracy where one group will always have the majority as well as the privileges involved. Now we are hearing our troops may have to be there for an additional 10 years or more to secure the desired peace. To ram the acceptance of 12 million illegal immigrants down the American public is an idea that will never win acceptance. The attack on the twin towers also gave us the Patriot Act which although has been helpful in preventing future attacks can also be used against law abiding citizens who simply disagree with the current Administration's policies.

The issue of illegal immigration is now a hotly debated issue where some of our elected leaders are so much in favor of the illegal immigrants that they are willing to look the other way when it comes to the crimes that some of these individuals are commiting against citizens even though their crimes are well documented. Our border patrol agents are blocked from fulfilling their duties for fear of lawsuits that the pro illegal immigrant lawyers and judges will bring against them for violating the civil rights of these illegal immigrants despite the harrasment our agents face. There is also a type of fear in Washington that without this cheap labor our economy and our nation will collapse.

The voices of the people energized by the information on the internet as well as Talk Radio gave our Senators a rude awakening so much so that they blamed the bill's defeat on a bunch of people who did not know what was good for the country. Some of these folks want to ban grassroots movements and other sounding boards from giving them an earful of what they don't want to hear. They may try and pass some type of legislation like McCain-Feingold to try and silence the critics. These elected officials are supposed to hear us and our concerns!

Citizens of the United States let us stand together united in the cause to reclaim our nation from the hands of politicians who would deliver us into the hands of our enemies. Speak now or be silent and suffer the consequences of that silence. A nation dies when her people become silent and take what ever is rammed down their throats. If we remain silent we have lost everything. The motto of America's military in fighting to give you the right of free speech is not something you should waste by lying down and taking whatever they give you.

A WORD OF WARNING! Please when making your posts don't directly accuse government officials of treason. Such action only damages our cause and gives power to the opposition that can then say that are just a bunch of malcontents who would deliver the nation into the hands of our enemies since we don't know what is in our nation's best interest. Criticize the decision, point the flaws, and discuss the reasons in terms of the long term consequences. Never post unless you are willing to stand by your views. Remember that you are against someone who knows who you are and where you live. Never underestimate them!
