BACKGROUND: On March 23, 2007, the U S House of Representatives passed an Iraq funding bill that sets a deadline for withdrawal of our troops, along with other "pork", which faces a promised veto from the White House. This has the potential to leave our troops in a combat situation without adequate funding if an acceptable compromise cannot be reached, to the detriment of our troops.

House Approves 2008 Deadline for troop Withdrawal

THE PETITION STATES: The recent funding bill for our troops that was passed by the U S House of Representatives sets a withdrawal date and contains additional pork, and faces a promised veto from the White House.  This  has the potential  end result of having our troops in harm's way WITHOUT ADEQUATE FUNDING if a bill that is acceptable to all parties cannot be agreed to. With the different options available to Congress for making their opinions of the current conflict known, we the undersigned OPPOSE tying funding for the troops to ANY preconditions for as long as our troops are in harm's way . We find it ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE for our troops to be used as pawns in ANY political battles, and demand that any bills funding our troops be passed with NO PRECONDITIONS for the duration of the conflict. Our troops deserve no less.

I'm just sick of democrats. They are drunken with supposed power! They have even broken the Constitution by changing the needed two thirds vote to a simple majority vote. It is stated "All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void" 5US (2Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)

And "Where rights secured by the constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them"  Miranda vs. Arizona, 384 us 436 p. 491.

Places like Washington D.C. do not have the right to pass a law that says you do not have the right to carry a gun especially a handgun at anytime. That law is "repugnant to the constitution".

I am very tired of a congress that feels they have all power over the citizens of the United States of America. It has also been stated "When the people fear the government you have tyranny, when the government fear the people you have liberty!"

It might well be time to consider taking back our country! Thomas Jefferson said this: "When all government, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we seperated." (1821)

We don't seem to be to far from that very scene, and he foresaw that nearly 200 years ago! What are you willing to do? When will you stand up? Will it then be to late? I wonder.

I think that this new Speaker has got more balls than any of the turn coat Republicans. The President is the Commander in Chief! Why is it that the Dem-o-Rats are all cowards? If I were Bush, I would call on everyone serving this nation to tell the Congress what they can do. Kiss OUR ASS. If we lose this war, and the war comes here, I hope with all of my soul that they target our cowards that lost it for us!! I know it is not if, but when. The next time you cowards vote, think of who got us out of Iraq, and who is going to blow up you're FAMILY!!!!
