Background:
Law makers and special interest groups seem to be very interested in the number of accidental deaths each year in the United States and some of which are designated as murders! In an effort to control and or lessen the number of these senseless deaths, some laws are proposed in order to curb these deaths. (see how gun control has effected crime when enacted in other countries)

Some groups such as the Democratic party have come out in support of gun control, in an effort that they deem the best way to control senseless deaths. Perhaps these groups have overlooked the real culprit and maybe they should consider banning cars! Even Hitler had guns banned from citizen ownership, but he never thought to ban cars, a "better killer"! And cars are used in a high percentage of bank robberies, drag races, and somewhat by wives to eleminate unfaithful husbands!

Washington D.C. enacted a virtual ban on handguns in 1976. Between 1976 and 1991, Washington D.C.'s homicide rate rose 200%, while the U.S. rate rose 12%.

will "show and tell" of famous car crashes!

This Petition States:
I sign this non-binding petition calling for a ban on cars before any additional 'bans' are put into place. This ban on cars is being proposed to show the ridiculous nature of gun bans, as cars kill more Americans each year than guns do.

Wonderful. A sentiment I've long had. Actually, in one of my more recent traffic stops (supposedly street racing two of the slowest SUV's on the market) the sherrif of our community likened my 5000 LB SUV to a guided missile. We both know that guided missiles are illegal after the 1934 ban on 'assault weapons' yet there is no permit required to own them, a lax system of licensing their use, and rampant traffic deaths that are preventable and completely ignored because the focus of politicians is on taking apart our constitutional rights.

I love our hipocritical government and our selfish politicians because if we didn't have them our country would be perfect... Ahh that's life though and there's nothing that tens of millions of concerned citizens can do to change it;)

I hate cars. People drive like they own the road and no one else should be on their road. All people should be on motorcycles. One time I was out riding and some guy almost ran me off the road. At a stop light I told him I wanted to see how tough he was outside of his car. He hit the gas and got away. If everyone was on a motorcycle there would not be aggressive driving and road rage.
