I found this article on this website, but I have a lot to say about it. My thoughts will follow the article. Let me know what you think. Leading Latino groups actively promote the right to immigrate to America and even “reconquista” of lands lost to the U.S.--and President Bush is fueling the fires. This excerpt from Grassfire's booklet, "The Truth About The Illegal Invasion," exposes the Latino reconquista agenda.
The open borders agenda extends to south of our border as well. The movement is called “reconquista,” the belief that much of the west and southwest United States — a mythical nation called “Aztlan” (pronounced Ahz-LAHN) — rightfully belongs to Mexico.
This is not a fringe movement. Groups like MEChA and The Council of La Raza, or “the Race” (one of the most respected Latino groups in the nation) supports reconquista and the Aztlan movement. These groups led the protests in the Spring of 2006 that saw hundreds of thousands of illegals march in our streets demanding citizenship. The slogan of this movement? “Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada,” which means, “For the race everything. Outside the race nothing.”
Reconquista And Racial Politics This is racial politics at its worst, and our tax dollars are funding it to the tune of millions of dollars. For example, according to Congressman Charlie Norwood (R-GA), La Raza received over $15 million in federal grants, much of that directed to funding “charter” public schools that teach the reconquista message. Coincidentally, one of Grassfire.org's “Stop The Invasion” billboards was located just a few hundred yards from one such school funded by La Raza, the Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Arizona. By the way, our Attorney General is also a member of the Council of La Raza.
Most Mexicans Believe In Aztlan Clear evidence of this cultural war on America can be seen in a 2002 Zogby poll taken in Mexico which found that 58% of Mexicans believe the southwest U.S. belongs to Mexico. In other words, most Mexicans hold the belief in the mythical land of Aztlan! This thinking fuels within Mexicans a belief that they have an inherent right to come to America. A 2005 poll by the Pew Hispanic Center found that 46 percent of Mexicans in Mexico said they would “go to live in the USA” if they “had the means and opportunity.” Where are Mexicans getting such ideas? In addition to cultural groups like MeCHA, the Mexican government is fueling these fires by encouraging Mexicans to come to America, retain their Mexican national identity and send back money — essentially, live as Mexicans in America.
On September 5, 2001 — less than a week before the 9/11 terrorist attacks — President Bush welcomed Mexican President Vicente Fox to the White House. That day, Fox spoke of “making progress towards the establishment of an agreement on migration which will be of mutual benefit to us” and give migrants “their proper place in the history of our bilateral relations.” Fox’s goal? “Make sure that there are no Mexicans who have not entered [the U.S.] legally.” Read that statement carefully and you will see that the only way to accomplish such a goal is amnesty. Is President Bush Fueling Reconquista? In a 2004 campaign video made for the Latino audience, President Bush gave support to this reconquista/Aztlan agenda when he said:
“About 15 years before the Civil War, much of the American West was northern Mexico. The people who lived there weren’t called Latinos or Hispanics; they were Mexican citizens. Until all that land became part of the United States. After that many of them were treated as foreigners in their own land.”
Later in the same video, the President is seen waving a Mexican flag (watch the video here). Perhaps the President forgot the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo which ended the U.S.-Mexican War. In the treaty, with U.S. troops in Mexico City, Mexico ceded the so-called Aztlan lands to the U.S. in exchange for $15 million and some assumption of Mexican debts by America. It was a good treaty for Mexico because without it the country likely would have been annexed by the U.S.
Author Richard Rodriguez summed it up well when speaking of “the coming marriage of Mexico and the United States. South and north of the line, we are becoming a hemispheric people — truly American — in no small part because of illegal immigration.” Reading that makes my blood boil. While judas bush sits at home counting his silver, he doesnt have a clue how it really is.The mexicans coming here are not mexico's best and brightest. They are the ones too stupid to get a job there, so they come here for a free ride. Simply put, mexico is sending their trash to us. And even if the southwest area of America did become part of mexico it would not be like it is now. It would be as bad as the rest of mexico. Then the mexican government would send their trash north and east to what is left of America. Eventually this cancer will consume this country and there will be no America. Everyone out there think about our kids living in a place where criminals run free, so our kids will never be safe. I know that is not acceptable for my children. Send this out to everyone you know. |
