Reading Senator Obama’s Presidential announcement was, at first, very exciting. My heart leapt to hear a politician bring his faith into play and line up to answer the hard questions about how he can support same sex marriage, and abortion, including denial of medical aid to a child that survives an abortion.

But many words later he never really did answer those questions. Oh, he was smooth, but fell short of an actual answer.

Instead, what I understood was an explanation that he wouldn’t legislate morality. But then turns and says he would legislate the moral imperative of charity.

Ok, this can be a bit confusing, and I’m sure that may have been the intent, will he or won’t he legislate morality? So let’s break it down:

Sanctity of life: not a moral imperative worth legislating!
- Please explain to me how letting a child die without medical aid is not a moral imperative? Please! "even on the Born-Alive [Infants Protection] Act, I was appalled that [ Obama ] would deny medical assistance to a child that survived an abortion" (qtd. in Brown).

Sanctity of marriage: not a moral imperative worth legislating!

Charity: moral imperative worth legislating.

My understanding of Obama’s idea of charity: take money from one person and give it to another at the “governments” discretion. In other words, wealth redistribution.

Oh friends, it gets much worse than that. He recently voted to extend Social Security benefits to illegal aliens, law breaking non-U.S. Citizens that have never paid a cent into the social security program! Hello! Social Security and Medicaid are going to be broke in 20 years as it is!

My understanding of Obama’s idea of charity: reward and encourage lawlessness at the taxpayers expense. In other words, theft, debt, and anarchy!

Oh friends, it gets much worse than that. He, a liberal democrat, is preaching to those, Christian conservatives, that already far exceed the liberal understanding of charity. Because, you see, “Conservatives give 30 percent more of their income to charity than liberals, despite, on average, making slightly less money” (qtd. in Bauer).

Oh friends, he is good. He is a master wordsmith. As I was reading his speech I felt charged and excited. It wasn’t until I went back over it to find where I missed his actual answers that I realized I had been duped! There were no answers. There were only words with no substance or value.

And the only thing it appears that Senator Obama will support are immorality and lawlessness and he will support them with your paycheck! You better go get a second job.

According to Brigitte Gabriel, a Legal Immigrant, Obama voted against making English the official language of America and voted to give illegal aliens Social Security benefits. Thanks for nothing, Senator.
